We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Government and Politics to join a popular and well run school in Bushey, Hertfordshire.
Tradewind is collaborating with an Ofsted Good secondary school in Bushey that values excellence in education and is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Government and Politics to join their staff team from Easter 2025. As a Teacher of Government and Politics, you will have the opportunity to inspire students and foster their interest in politics, government, and civic engagement.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students of varying abilities, fostering a passion for politics.
- Teach the National Curriculum for Politics, covering a range of topics including political ideologies, government structures, and current affairs.
- Assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies to support their learning and development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting active participation and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with the Humanities department to develop curriculum materials and resources.
- Monitor and track student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing reports as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience in the UK qualification.
- Specialism in Government and Politics with a strong subject knowledge.
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- The ability to inspire students, fostering their interest in politics and current affairs.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
