Job Opportunity: Pastoral Assistant - Secondary School in Blackley
Full-Time | Up to £110 per day | Immediate Start | Potential for Long-Term Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Assistant to join our secondary school team in Blackley. This is a varied and rewarding role, where you will play a key part in supporting students' emotional, social, and academic well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and address student attendance, ensuring up-to-date records and prompt follow-up on absences
- Support the spiritual, emotional, and social needs of students, providing guidance and a listening ear where needed
- Work closely with staff to identify and support students requiring additional pastoral care
- Signpost students to appropriate Post-16 options and career pathways
- Act as a point of contact for students needing help or advice with any school-related issues
- Support the wider pastoral team with administrative tasks as needed

- Essential: Previous experience working with young people in a professional capacity
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with students
- A proactive approach to student welfare and well-being
- Ability to stay organised and manage various tasks efficiently
- Empathy and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of students
