Contract: Full-time (term-time only), long-term
Location: Hackney
Pay: £95-£115 per day (depending on experience)

A thriving secondary school in Hackney is seeking a Science Technician to join their science department, supporting the delivery of engaging and practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

About the role:

Preparing and setting up materials and equipment for science experiments
Supporting teachers during practical lessons and demonstrations
Maintaining stock levels, ordering supplies and managing resources
Ensuring all equipment is cleaned, stored and used safely
Helping maintain a safe and efficient working environment in the labs

About you:

A background in science (degree or equivalent) or previous experience in a school lab
Knowledge of health & safety practices in a laboratory setting
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as in a team
A strong interest in supporting education and STEM learning
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
