Contract: Full-time (term-time only), long-term
Location: Hackney
Pay: £95-£115 per day (depending on experience)

A thriving secondary school in Hackney is seeking a Science Technician to join their science department, supporting the delivery of engaging and practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

About the role:

  • Preparing and setting up materials and equipment for science experiments
  • Supporting teachers during practical lessons and demonstrations
  • Maintaining stock levels, ordering supplies and managing resources
  • Ensuring all equipment is cleaned, stored and used safely
  • Helping maintain a safe and efficient working environment in the labs

About you:

  • A background in science (degree or equivalent) or previous experience in a school lab
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices in a laboratory setting
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as in a team
  • A strong interest in supporting education and STEM learning
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
