SANZA Teaching Agency are working with an independent school in Barking & Dagenham. The school specialises in educating young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
They are seeking a calm, nurturing English teacher for KS3 & KS4 to join their team.
You must have experience teaching KS3 & KS4 GCSE English. The school is open to applications from qualified or unqualified teachers (not holding QTS).

About you:
- Must have experience as a KS3/KS4 English teacher
- Ideally have QTS, but the school is open to unqualifed teachers with the right experience
- Have previous experience with supporting behaviour challenges, ideally within a SEMH/PRU setting
- Be able to commit to a full time role- these students are vulnerable and need consistency
- Have a calm demeanour, but be firm and able to assert clear boundaries
- Have a genuine interest in pastoral care and supporting vulnerable young people
This position would suit a teacher with experience in mainstream settings but has a keen interest in transitioning over to working within (SEMH) Social, Emotional, Mental Health.
