Tradewind Recruitment are working with an excellent secondary school in Camden seeking a Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from January 2026. This full-time, long-term role (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm) is ideal for graduates passionate about inspiring young people and supporting their academic and personal development.
Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant - Role Overview
Support students across Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, English, and Religious Studies, as well as in general classroom settings.
Work closely with the SENCO, Pastoral Team, and subject teachers to provide tailored academic and emotional support.
Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help students reach their full potential.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging curiosity, debate, and confidence.
Support students with additional learning needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, and SEMH) through empathy and structured guidance.
Gain valuable, hands-on experience relevant to teacher training, education policy, or youth and community work.
Requirements
A recent Humanities graduate (e.g., History, English, Geography, Politics, Philosophy, or related field).
A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
Empathetic, patient, and adaptable approach.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
