SEND Teaching Assistant

A wonderful, one -form entry Primary School in the westerly part of Tower Hamlets, is looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work in the morning with a small group of 5 children - supported by the teacher and another TA. In the afternoon you'd be supporting a child in Reception.

This full-time role starts in January 2026 and will continue until July 2026. There is a possibility of continuing in September 2026.

Pay rates are from £90 -£100 per day, depending on experience.

The Role:

As the successful SEND Teaching Assistant, you will have an understanding of working with non-verbal children with Autism, work well within a team and be proactive. Requirements for this SEND Teaching Assistant in a Tower Hamlets Primary school

• SEN Teaching Assistants or candidates who have experience working with children.
• An Enhanced Child Only DBS and/or Overseas Police checks
• A CV that covers your employment and education history since you finished formal education and any employment breaks must be explained
• Legal Right to work in the UK
