Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be supporting a forward-thinking and dynamic academy in Islington, who are seeking a passionate and innovative English & Media Studies Teacher to join their ambitious and collaborative department from January to July.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic teacher to deliver English and Media Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop strong literacy, analytical, and media skills. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing progress, and contributing to the wider enrichment of the department, including media projects and school events.

Start Date: January - July
Salary: London MPS (Main Pay Scale)

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • A degree in English, Media Studies, or a related subject
  • Experience teaching English and Media Studies at Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to integrate media and literacy skills effectively
  • A creative approach to teaching that engages students in critical thinking and analysis
