Tradewind Recruitment is looking for dynamic Cover Supervisors to work across our partner schools in Daventry, providing essential cover during staff absences. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and want to gain invaluable experience in education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to deliver pre-prepared work, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure students stay engaged and on task. No marking, planning, or subject expertise is required- just the ability to lead a room with confidence and build positive relationships quickly.

This role is ideal for people from a wide variety of backgrounds. You don't need to be a qualified teacher; you just need presence, communication skills, and the ability to motivate.

• Sports coaches and fitness professionals - confident leaders with great energy

• Performing arts and musical theatre graduates - strong communicators who engage groups easily

• Youth workers or mentors - experienced in supporting young people's development

• Ex-police, military or security personnel - calm, authoritative, and skilled at managing situations

• Scouts/Guides leaders or community group facilitators - used to coordinating activities for young people

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supervising classes during teacher absences

• Delivering work set by the class teacher

• Encouraging good behaviour and helping maintain a focused atmosphere

• Supporting students with questions and promoting positive engagement

• Working in a variety of schools to build broad experience

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Confidence in leading groups of young people

• Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude

• Experience working with teenagers in any capacity (preferred but not essential)
