SEN Teaching Assistant - Full Time - KS1

Tradewind Education Agency is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a welcoming KS1 primary school in Camden, starting January 2026.

This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop socially and emotionally, and reach their full potential in a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN in Key Stage 1

  • Support learning across the curriculum, including phonics, literacy, and numeracy

  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs/EHCPs)

  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals

  • Support inclusion and promote independence

  • Assist with personal care where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language)

  • Experience in a KS1 or EYFS setting (essential)

  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
