RE Teacher - North Tyneside

Tradewind is thrilled to be working with secondary schools in the North Tyneside area who are looking to recruit a Religious Education (RE) Teacher.


We are searching for a passionate and dedicated RE Teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), with potential opportunities at Key Stage 5 (KS5).


Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering a rich and balanced RE curriculum that adheres to local and national guidelines.

  • Facilitating challenging and meaningful classroom discussions on complex religious, philosophical, and ethical topics.

  • Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to drive progress and attainment.

  • Managing a supportive and inclusive classroom where all students feel confident to share their views.

  • Contributing positively to the Humanities faculty and wider school community in North Tyneside.


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A relevant degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related Humanities subject.

  • Proven experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4) (KS5 desirable)

  • A commitment to promoting student's Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural (SMSC) development.

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the field.

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
