SEN Teaching Assistant - Wellingborough

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a vibrant mainstream primary/secondary school in the Wellingborough area. About the Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEND)

  • Assist teachers in creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

  • Adapt materials and activities to suit individual learning needs

  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour

  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

  • Help monitor progress and contribute to learning plans

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD)

  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to follow plans and adapt to changing needs

  • A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential

  • Teamwork and reliability are essential
