Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mechanics Teacher to join a supportive secondary school/FE setting in the Corby area. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator or industry professional looking to inspire the next generation of engineers and mechanics.

About the Role

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Mechanics and related vocational subjects

  • Teach practical and theoretical content across KS4 and/or post-16 learners

  • Support students with hands-on workshop activities and safe use of equipment

  • Plan, assess, and track student progress in line with curriculum requirements

  • Contribute to the department's development and wider school community

  • Maintain high standards of safety, organisation, and behaviour within the workshop

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or relevant teaching qualification

  • Strong knowledge of mechanics, automotive engineering, or motor vehicle studies

  • Industry experience (garage, automotive, engineering) is highly beneficial

  • Excellent communication and practical demonstration skills

  • A commitment to engaging students in vocational learning

  • Ability to inspire confidence and curiosity in technical subjects
