About the Role

  • Teach English across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities for KS5 depending on experience

  • Deliver creative, engaging lessons that foster a love of reading and writing

  • Plan, mark, and assess student work in line with school policies

  • Support students of all abilities, ensuring progress for every learner

  • Contribute to departmental planning, CPD, and whole-school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Strong knowledge of English Language and Literature

  • Ability to inspire confidence, creativity, and resilience in students

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to high expectations
