A supportive and ambitious secondary school in Daventry is seeking a motivated English Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach within a well-established English department that prides itself on academic excellence, innovative teaching, and a warm, collaborative culture.

About the Role:

This is a full-time teaching position, available on either a long-term or permanent basis. You will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 classes depending on your experience and interests.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and challenging English lessons rooted in strong subject knowledge

  • Using assessment and data to monitor progress and guide learners towards success

  • Creating a classroom atmosphere that supports participation, confidence, and independent thinking

  • Encouraging students to analyse texts critically and develop strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Working closely with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and approaches

  • Supporting wider school initiatives, such as reading programmes, enrichment clubs, and cultural events

What We're Looking For:

  • QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
