Teacher of Computer Science required for a January 2026 start. Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful co-educational comprehensive school for students aged 11-18 in the London borough of Bromley in their search for a talented Computer Science teacher on an ongoing basis.
This is a "good" school (Ofsted 2018) with an ethos that encourages academic rigour, high expectations and a well-disciplined approach to learning. The school is very popular and has over 1300 students including the Sixth Form.
Set in the heart of the green belt and Bromley, yet within easy travelling distance to London, the school is surrounded by open spaces. The school has extensive sports and community facilities which include floodlit tennis courts, a multi-gym and a floodlit 3G pitch.
At the heart of the school are its distinctive ethos and a shared vision which are supported by the staff, students, parents and governors. THE POST
This full time Computer Science post is available from January 2026 on a long term, ongoing basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and thriving computing department. The successful candidate will be required to teach across the ability range at KS3 and KS4.
The school is looking for an enthusiastic, talented Computer Science teacher, with the capacity to teach to GCSE. You should be willing to work independently and alongside the current Faculty members to ensure the achievement of all taught students.

The person appointed to this post will:
- Be a fully qualified teacher of Computer Science
- Be passionate about Computer Science and able to convey this to students
- Be an outstanding classroom teacher
- Be enthusiastic and energetic
- Possess clear and effective communication skills
- Demonstrate a good understanding of issues in ICT
- Support the work of the Faculty in creating a successful department ethos that is centred on student achievement and well being
- Promote a dynamic and motivating approach to teaching and learning
- Understand how to ensure all students reach their potential regardless of their background or ability.
- Have the ability to communicate well, to work as a member of a team, and to have effective working relationships with students, staff and parents.
- Have the ability to contribute to the wider work of the school, including our work as form tutors.
- Demonstrate continuing personal professional development
- Have a commitment to equal opportunities and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Teaching Responsibilities:
- To undertake a designated programme of teaching Computer Science across the relevant key stages.
- Teach consistently high-quality lessons.
- Plan and deliver schemes of work and lessons that meet the requirements of KS3 and KS4
- Be a role model for students inspiring them to be actively interested in Computing.
- To complete the relevant documents to assist in the tracking of students.
- To follow the school policies and procedures.
- To maintain discipline in accordance with the school procedures, and to encourage good practice in regard to punctuality, behaviour and standards of classwork and homework.
- Engage actively with colleagues in the on-going development of teaching and learning, subject knowledge and pedagogy within the curriculum area.
