Catering Assistant - Secondary School - Wirral
Are you reliable, hardworking, and enjoy working in a fast-paced food environment?
We're looking for a Catering Assistant to join a friendly secondary school on the Wirral, supporting the day-to-day running of the school kitchen and helping provide nutritious meals to students and staff.
What you'll be doing:
Assisting with the preparation and serving of food and drinks
Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times
Washing up, cleaning kitchen equipment, and maintaining a tidy workspace
Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
Supporting with stock rotation and basic food preparation where required
What we're looking for:
Someone available to work during school hours, Monday to Friday (term time)
Experience in a kitchen or catering environment (desirable but not essential)
A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices
A positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude
Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
