About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work within a range of primary and secondary schools across Kettering.

This rewarding role involves supporting students both in and out of the classroom, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. The position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students

  • Assisting pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Encouraging student participation, independence, and confidence

  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

  • Helping to create a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational, care, youth work, or support setting

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

  • A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and development

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
