We are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Towcester that is seeking an enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. The school is open to appointing either a permanent teacher or an experienced practitioner on a long-term supply basis for one term, making this an excellent opportunity for a range of candidates.

Role Highlights:

  • Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons across the Year 6 curriculum

  • Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-key-stage assessments while maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum

  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, using data effectively to inform teaching and raise attainment

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to maximise pupil outcomes

  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and a strong work ethic within the classroom

  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and its community

About You:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 in a UK primary school setting, with Year 6 experience desirable

  • Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment requirements

  • Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils to achieve their best

  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills

  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

  • Committed to supporting both the academic and personal development of every child

  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will be fully supported
