We are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Towcester that is seeking an enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. The school is open to appointing either a permanent teacher or an experienced practitioner on a long-term supply basis for one term, making this an excellent opportunity for a range of candidates.
Role Highlights:
Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons across the Year 6 curriculum
Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-key-stage assessments while maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring appropriate challenge and support
Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, using data effectively to inform teaching and raise attainment
Support pupils' personal development, wellbeing, and readiness for the transition to secondary education
Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to maximise pupil outcomes
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and a strong work ethic within the classroom
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and its community
About You:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 in a UK primary school setting, with Year 6 experience desirable
Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment requirements
Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils to achieve their best
Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
Committed to supporting both the academic and personal development of every child
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will be fully supported
