Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Thurrock

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

  • Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups and abilities.

  • Lead small-group and one-to-one interventions.

  • Assist with assessment, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold HLTA status or possess significant experience in a similar role.

  • Have a strong understanding of the national curriculum.

  • Be confident managing classroom behaviour and leading learning independently.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
