Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYFS)

Location: North Chesterfield

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Contract: Permanent, starting ASAP - Initially Pay rolled through Tradewind Recruitment

About Us: We are a small, well-managed primary school located in North Chesterfield. Committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our students, we are currently seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Role Overview: As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classroom. The successful candidate will hold a relevant EYFS qualification at least at level 2 for ratios and will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to a child with additional needs, as well as assisting in the general classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a child with additional needs, assisting them in their learning and development.
  • Support the EYFS classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for all students.

Requirements:

  • Relevant EYFS qualification at least at level 2 for ratios.
  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
