Teaching Assistant at Chesterfield Primary School

Chesterfield Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our Year 5 students. Located in a remote yet picturesque setting, our school provides a unique opportunity to work closely with a close-knit community of staff, students, and families.

Position: Teaching Assistant (Year 5)

Location: Chesterfield Primary School, Remote Location

Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term until Christmas 2024 - 8.30am - 3.30pm

Start Date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Year 5 class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Work one-on-one with students to provide targeted support and encouragement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.

Requirements:

  • A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above) OR extensive experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards challenges.
  • A valid driving license and access to a car (unless living very locally to the school).
