Job Title: 1:1 Nursery Assistant - Full Time (ASAP Start)

Location: South Liverpool (Linked to a Primary School)

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young children? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Nursery Assistant to join our team at a well-established nursery linked to a primary school in South Liverpool. This role involves providing personalised care and support to a child who is almost non-verbal, ensuring their well-being and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to a child with almost non-verbal communication needs.
• Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene routines.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere to promote the child's emotional and social development.
• Collaborate with the nursery team to implement individualised learning plans.
• Foster positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed of the child's progress and well-being.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Childcare or relevant field.
• Previous experience working in a nursery setting, preferably in a 1:1 support role.
• Understanding of the needs of children with communication challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
