We are working with a SEND school near Kingswood, and they are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties for 5 days a week ongoing until end of the academic year.

The school is a Specialist provision catering for pupils with BESD and Attachment Disorders. They require this Teaching Assistant to have experience of supporting secondary aged male pupils with challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties. The experience of working with people from similar background or challenges is highly desirable.

The position will start immediately and will be ongoing with the possibility of becoming a permanent position.

Most of the work will involve 1:1 intervention sessions pupil in class and outside the setting. Previous experience of working with young people with BESD is essential. It will be expected that candidates will have good communication skills and appropriate qualifications to be able to meet these high standards. Working hours are 0830-1530.

Must have:
Experience with supporting young people with EBD in the past
Reliable, and flexible attitude.
Highly Desirable:
Sports background
A keen interest in martial arts
Security, police, or military background are highly sought after.
