Job Title: Teacher/Senior Support Staff - Alternative Provision

Location: North Lincolnshire (commutable from Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Gainsborough via Car)

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary with Potential for Permanent Placement

Hours: 08:30 - 15:10

About Us:

Tradewind is proud to support a secondary school in North Lincolnshire that is seeking a motivated Teacher/Senior Support Staff member for their Alternative Provision. The school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students who may have encountered difficulties in mainstream classes.

Responsibilities:

As a Teacher/Senior Support Staff member, you will play a crucial role in supporting small groups of pupils (between 4 and 6 at any time) within the Alternative Provision setting. The primary focus will be on assisting with Functional Skills in Maths and English. The role requires someone with a genuine interest in Special Educational Needs (SEN), and prior experience in this area is highly desirable.

Key Duties:

  • Support small groups of pupils in Functional Skills Maths and English.
  • Provide additional support to students who have faced challenges in mainstream classes.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Demonstrate patience, understanding, and empathy in working with vulnerable pupils.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience working in an Alternative Provision or with SEN students is advantageous.
  • Strong commitment to the well-being and development of young individuals.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of individual students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Hours:

This is a full-time position with working hours from 08:30 to 15:10.

Salary:

The pay for this role is competitive, ranging from £90 to £125 per day.
