Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4pm

Pay: £85 - £100 per day

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Arabic Speaking Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant and diverse primary school in Westminster. Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 5 child with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Assist with EAL needs and encourage positive communication skills
Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and understanding English language concepts.
Utilise Arabic language skills to facilitate communication and comprehension.
Implement strategies to promote the child's social integration and emotional regulation.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Monitor the child's progress and provide regular feedback to the SENCO and parents/carers.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Arabic language is essential.
Experience working with children with SEMH needs and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Understanding of inclusive teaching practices and strategies to support children's mental wellbeing.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
Flexibility, patience, and resilience to meet the diverse needs of the child and adapt to changing situations.
Relevant qualifications or training in education, SEN, or child development is desirable.
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
