Tradewind recruitment is currently looking for a confident, engaging Special Needs Teacher with experience of teaching Art and Design Technology. The role is an exciting opportunity that involves working at a special needs setting catering for students with BESD within short drive from Bath. The school requires a teacher with significant amount of BESD/PRU/AEP experience to teach a small group of students from KS2 up to KS4.
The school provides small, specialist learning environment that meets the student's learning needs as well as providing them with emotional support through specialised support techniques and alternative curriculum suitable for the BESD students. There are maximum 6 students in the classroom, and there are support staff in each classroom.
- Working hours are between 0830-1530 Monday to Friday and it will involve working with pupils who display emotional behavioural difficulties. The role is starting ASAP and will be continuing ongoing for the rest of the academic year.
The school is open to consider teachers with Primary, Secondary and further Teaching qualifications and will consider them on the basis of their experience with Teaching Art and the ability to manage behavioural challenges.
The school is within easy reach of Bath (30 Minute Drive: 13 Miles) but is not easily accessible by public transport.

To join us and be successful in this exciting Teaching position, you will need to:- * Hold QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching Qualification and will be available full-time asap.
*Have significant amounts of EBD experience in a school or PRU settings and ideally be able to engage with young people with severe emotional and behavioural difficulties. - * You will have taught Art and food Tech to secondary aged students.
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
