Art Teacher; September 2019 start; Croydon School.

The school in question have a new Vice Principal who has a key focus for Art who has set clear targets to improve behaviour and attendance and the Principal and Executive Principal will have the unwavering support of our Executive Team and Education Team to make those changes to teaching and learning that we need to make in order to turn our academy around. This is not a challenge for the faint of heart. They are looking for someone who is ready to be bold and brave, to lead colleagues by example and to deliver dynamic lessons within the Art department.

This post would be suitable for an experienced teacher or an NQT. NQTs would be supported and mentored through our successful NQT programme, led by a member of the Art department. The successful candidate would be joining a high performing, well qualified and supportive department with a strong team ethos.

The ideal candidate for this Key Stage 3 and 4 Art Teacher role will:
*be experienced and/or qualified to teach the subject successfully at Key Stage 3 and 4
*be empathetic to the students and contribute to the school's friendly, enthusiastic atmosphere.
*be familiar with the national curriculum and assessment methodology
*A sense of warmth and having a caring outlook.
*Any other skills or subject expertise may be helpful.

Based in the borough of Croydon, close to East Croydon Overground stations and local transport to Addington.
