Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional teacher of Art. The successful candidate will be joining a hardworking and ambitious department, teaching across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 and will have had recent experience teaching GCSE and ideally A-Level Art.  you will be joining the Creative Arts faculty alongside Drama and Music and the Art department provides pupils with exciting opportunities to express their own artistry and to explore, develop and learn creative and technical skills. Our client looks for teachers that will contribute to a positive and energetic learning environment. Students are taught in mixed ability classes across Key Stages and are encouraged to appreciate the work of different cultures and artists and to express their own thoughts, ideas and feelings.  Students are guided to create highly personal outcomes and lead their own investigations at KS4 and KS5. 

The Headteacher is committed to ensuring the very best opportunities for the pupils in school. High expectations are set for pupils. The pupils respond well and take advantage of all that the school offers, good behavior within school and overall graded good in their last Ofsted inspection.

Students' outcomes (current standards and exam results) are good and often outstanding. Progress is well above average. Teaching across the school is good and, in some cases, outstanding. The curriculum is broad and balanced and there are many extra-curricular opportunities for students. The school community is harmonious, with good relationships between students and staff.

The school is located in Waltham Forest, in north-east London, which is one of the greenest boroughs north of the River Thames. It's made up of three neighbourhoods: Chingford in the north, Walthamstow in the centre and Leyton and Leytonstone in the south. The nearest Tube is Leyton on the Central Line and has a number of bus routes available. Some onsite parking facilities are available but at request.
