About the School - Art Teacher - Wandsworth, Inner London

This exceptional secondary school is based in the heart of Wandsworth where there are numerous close-by transport links and nearby parking. Behaviour in this tight knit school is exceptional, where pupils are respectful to their peers and all members of staff. The successful Art teacher will be joining a well-resourced department which includes modern classrooms, kilns, media studios and photography dark rooms. Art is seen to be a core subject in promoting imaginatively and a creative approach to learning so you will be joining a school with a high intake of students taking this subject for A level. Furthermore, the school actively promotes extracurricular clubs and student trips including visits to exhibitions and galleries for all age groups. The school recently celebrated excellent GCSE results where 87% of students achieved 5+ passes including English and Maths. Therefore, throughout the school there are high expectations of all students and an atmosphere of achievement. To be successful in this position you must be confidently able to teach Art up to KS5 level. Experience of teaching photography to KS5 will be a huge advantage.
