Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for your next position?

The position is to start in June 2020 up until Christmas initially but has the potential to continue for the full academic year. The school has a strong focus on inclusion and Ofsted commended the support given to students whose circumstances makes them vulnerable. Students have complex backgrounds including being in the care system.

The Headteacher requires 1:1 support for a female pupil at key stage three. She has been provided funding to support her needs whilst in school, with the hope of removing barriers to learning. She is a looked after child and has attachment issues. It would be beneficial to hold previous experience working with young people, understanding how to build rapport quickly. You will asked to support this child in lessons when she is engaged, using positive behaviour management and confidence building techniques to develop trust and confidence.

To join us and be considered for this Learning Support position you must:
* Preferably educated to degree level
* Have experience with young people, ideally aged between 11-16
* This position is subject to Enhanced DBS, Overseas police check (if applicable) and satisfactory references;
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
* Have the legal right to work in the UK.
