Perhaps you are an experienced teaching assistant looking for your next 1:1 role?

Would you like the opportunity to gain key learning methods and techniques working alongside an experienced and committed SEN support team as a 1:1 Behaviour Mentor?

This 'Good' Primary school in Salford is looking for a passionate and motivated graduate or teaching assistant, wanting to work within KS2 as a 1:1 teaching assistant. The role is based within a Year 3 class working 1:1 with a pupil with ASC and behaviour needs from January 2020 for the remainder of the academic year - with the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.

This primary school has a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum, which allows students to make good progress. There are high expectations for both the staff and the students. Due to the great teaching throughout the school, children are eager to learn new and exciting topics. Children get off to a great start when joining this school due to them settling in really well because of the warm and welcoming environment. The students in this year 4 class are very well behaved and are well aware of the behavior policies implemented within the school. There is a very supportive culture for the staff within this school, therefore this is a great opportunity for a Teacher who is looking to progress their career.

Behaviour Mentor - Graduate/Experienced

-Work inside supportive and ambitious primary school as a Behaviour Mentor
-Full time and long term role - Full academic year
-Organise and conduct own 1:1 and small group sessions
-Gain experience from inside experienced SEN and core subject department
-Ideal teaching experience before progressing into teacher training
-Work with additional behavioural needs pupils as Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant
-Opportunity to progress into teacher training
-Work under fantastic Senior Leadership Team



Role Requirements -

-Minimum of a degree or teaching assistant qualification
-Ability to display core subject knowledge and teaching techniques as a Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant
-Passion to develop and enhance students education
-Good communication skills
-Ability to control and overcome challenging situations
