The position is for a full-time, long-term mentor. The school has good transport links as well as parking available. They were given a grade of "good" following the most recent Ofsted inspection.

They are seeking a teaching assistant to work with two children who have special needs, including SEMH and also emotional and behavioural difficulties. The children respond well to a calm, firm-but-fair approach and when they are given clear expectations of behaviour. You should be able to provide strategies to the children to help them to deal with situations in school that might usually result in disruption and also how to work with different classmates.

The Mentor we require should :
*Be able to provide a calm, consistent approach.
*Be a positive, reliable role model and excellent communication skills.
*Experience of working with pupils with SEMH/EBD needs.

The education and care provided to the students at the school is continually improving, giving young people quality access to an education regardless of the starting point. The correct Mentor will have a mission to support getting the children back on track, either through a return to regular schooling or in to further education at college.
