Are you a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge in a Surf unit in Wigan?

Tradewind are currently looking for a hardworking, ambitious experienced behaviour specialist teaching assistant to join and thriving Surf Unit in Wigan starting September 2019 - December 2019. This role is currently for 3 days a week with the potential to increase to 5 days full time role.

As a primary teaching assistant your job will be to support pupils across EYFS to KS2 by working with small groups of pupils to enhance their learning and academic development. Your role will involve supporting pupils with behaviour difficulties. Experience is not essential however, a patient and determined character is needed. You will be supporting pupils with EHC Plans and Social and Emotional Behaviour Difficulties.

We are looking for:

Someone who has ideally, but not essentially, have a level 3 qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning as well as recent and relevant experience in a similar role. You must also have a passion for working with Primary aged pupils and be dedicated to making a positive impact on their learning and development. You must be Team Teach trained. As per Department for Education (DfE) guidelines you will need to be able to provide full identification copies and reference details from the relevant experience you have previously gained in this or a similar setting.

The Surf Unit is based in Wigan easy accessible with public transport and additionally if you are driving it has free car parking.
