Job Title: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

Location: Tameside, UK

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a lovley Tameside Primary School. The successful candidate will work closely with our teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support for students with challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students with challenging behaviours in a classroom setting

Developing and implementing behaviour management plans

Providing one-on-one support for students as needed

Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote positive behaviour

Monitoring and tracking student progress and reporting to relevant staff members

Participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in behaviour support

Requirements:

Experience working with students with challenging behaviours

Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations

A positive and patient approach to working with students

Must have a DBS check or willing to have one

Must have a relevant qualification in teaching assistant or similar field
