Calling Biology Teachers!

Tradewind Recruitment are currently searching for an enthusiastic teacher of Biology, ready to start work for a thriving college in Scunthorpe. This role is temporary from September 2019 and is located in the heart of Scunthorpe. Initially this role will last all of the Autumn term until Christmas, but this could very likely be extended. It comes with a well-equipped department and a cohort of highly skilled science technicians. Additionally, pay is scaled to MPS. This position is for a minimum of three days per week, and will primarily be spent teaching year 12 and year 13 Biology. There will be some GCSE Biology teaching involved, but is primarily for an A level practitioner. If you do not have experience teaching A level, but are suitably qualified and have a good subject knowledge, then we would love to see your application. A suitably qualified candidate would be considered to lead the department, and in the department there is also applied science. Experience teaching Applied Science is an advantage but not a necessity.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate passion, enthusiasm and will have experience teaching GCSE and A level Biology. Delivering engaging lessons which enable students to grasp tricky concepts that can be challenging to understand is necessary, and full advantage should be taken of the impressive facilities available. Due to the fact this is a full time teaching role, planning and marking is essential.
