About the school:
We are recruiting for a Booster Teacher on behalf of a small primary school in Rochdale. The school has a 'good' rating from Ofsted when last inspected in 2016. Results last year were below the national and LEA average, hence the need to employ an additional teacher to work across KS2 to boost the children's knowledge and understanding of the curriculum. The school is friendly and inclusive, very much at the heart of the community. They aim to produce confident and happy individuals by fostering a secure and caring environment.

The school is based in Rochdale, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.

After visiting this school, I was incredibly impressed by the work ethic of both the children and staff. The school has cultivated a bright and fun learning environment that aims to bring out the very best in everyone.

About the role:
This OFSTED 'good' primary school is looking for a Booster teacher who can work predominately with Yr6 but across the whole of key stage 2. You will be working closely with all teachers to ensure planning is relevant and challenging for groups of children who are low and high ability. It is important that the relevant teacher has sound knowledge of the Yr6 curriculum and is comfortable and adept at teaching across the whole of key stage 2. The priority will be to boost attainment in Yr6 but there may be times that you would be used to cover course, PPA or sickenss.

Part of the role will be to forge closer working relationships with the parents to encourage learning at home. The school see this as a critical development to the success of their pupils. Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!

As a Booster Teacher, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed team of teachers who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations, plus:
· a well-equipped school with interactive white boards and plenty of resources
· the successful Teacher will be provided with a comprehensive induction package and a wide range of CPD opportunities for all staff
By registering with Tradewind Manchester, you will benefit from:

*An honest and friendly team with a wealth of educational experience
*Consultants that will listen to what you want and support you wherever necessary
*Top rates of pay through our attraction of the best education talent
*More training and development than any other agency - which is why we can offer you more certified CPD courses than any other education recruitment agency, 25 to be exact! That's 18 more than our next nearest competitor
