The school has an excellent reputation in the local community and high staff retention, aided by a strong SLT who are committed to the school's continued improvement. Having recently completed a full building renovations the school offers a superb, modern and clean environment respected by their pupils. Pupils flourish under the school's core values and have a high standard of behaviour. Classes are streamed from KS4 upwards and use the AQA syllabus at GCSE and A Level meaning results are exam based for both assessments.

The school are seeking a teacher who can:
*Commit to student progress and continually improve outcomes for pupils of all abilities.
*Enthuse and build a rapport with students in both lessons and extracurricular activities.
*Creative relatable lessons that engage pupils and feature content from current events around the world.
*Uphold the school's high standard of care for their pupils and maintain safeguarding practices at all times.

This role will mainly consist of teaching streamed classes in Key Stages 4 and 5. The AQA syllabus covers a range of perspectives, approaches and topics, including; developing analytical and evaluation skills based around data, stock management and the evaluation of financial vs. non-financial methods of motivation. A Level topics focus on the management and strategic decisions made by businesses to grow and survive in today's economy. For both Key stages the assessments are examination based so the successful teacher will need to be able to create and develop memorable lesson's, improve numeracy and literacy skills whilst engaging pupils and encourage them to explore the subject independently.

To be considered for this role you will need:
-A can do attitude and passion for working with young people.
-Previous experience of working within a school as a Business and Economics Teacher, Specialist, Instructor or Specialist Cover supervisor.
-Good communication skills

You will need to provide
-A current DBS check - we can provide one for you and even repay you for the expense (t&c's apply)
-A complete work history spanning 10 years where applicable
-Current teaching references or references from other child related roles
