Tradewind is working with an inclusive, well-led academy in Luton looking to appoint a new Head of Business for the remainder of the academic year, with a permanent contract likely to be offered. The role would consist of a mostly KS4 and KS5 timetable, with one KS3 class, offering an excellent opportunity to teachers who are confident in their GCSE and A-Level provision and keen to oversee academic success in the department. This school is part of a six-academy trust in which all schools have made rapid improvements in both examination results and Ofsted feedback, and where high expectations of conduct and academic rigour are expected across the trust.

The school is a well-lit, purpose built, modern building with superb facilities. Staff and students benefit from the specialist equipment, pragmatic SLT and a unified teaching team.

We are looking for a candidate who will:
*Be able to demonstrate creative and engaging approaches to their teaching with a good record of achievement
*Have a proven ability to raise standards in classrooms
*Have experience of leading teaching and learning initiatives beyond their classroom and supporting other teaching staff in the development of their classroom practice
*Be able to supervise and adapt the Business curriculum provision in accordance with feedback from examiner's reports and changes to the syllabus
*Have an excellent understanding of the components which comprise outstanding teaching and learning

The school is based within a short drive of Junction 11 on the M1, with staff parking and good transport links to main bus and train links. The trust pride themselves on excellent CPD and career progression opportunities, and aim to provide thorough training and strong leadership to all staff, both within their individual schools and across the trust as a whole. Behaviour at the school was mentioned as a strength in their most recent Ofsted report, alongside their excellent provision for vulnerable students and those with SEN.
