Tradewind Hull are working with one of our fantastic partnership schools on the outskirts of York, who are looking for a full time teacher of Business Studies to start April 12th 2021, until the end of the academic year. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role will be expected for this position, so payment will be scaled to the successful candidates position within the main teaching pay scale (up to MP6). This is a full time vacancy, but there may be some negotiation to part time, down to 3 or 4 days per week.
You will predominantly teaching Business Studies to Key Stage 5 students. For this reason, we are looking for a candidate who has experience teaching Business Studies to A Level students. This is a large department, with experienced staff members, and for that reason the school would be happy to receive applications from newly qualified teachers, who demonstrate suitable subject knowledge.
This school is accessible from most areas of York via public transport and the school is an easy drive from York. There is a large, free, onsite car park for those candidates who drive. Catering for over 1000 students, this large, educational establishment is region leading, being proud of its exceptional provision to its students. Due to the location, it is most easily accessed via car, but transport links, such as buses and trains, are available for candidates.
The role:
- Teaching Business Studies to Key Stage 5 students
- Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum
- Assessing coursework
- Attending staff meetings and training days
Essential requirements:
A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)
All work with Tradewind requires a DBS on the update service, and collection of at least two verified references.
