Job Description:
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Caretaker / Facilities Manager for a secondary school site located in Thirsk. The role will start in January, offering a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a background in school facilities management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilities Management:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school premises, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Caretaking Duties:Undertake general caretaking tasks, including maintenance, repairs, and minor installations as required.
- Security:Implement and maintain security procedures, ensuring the safety and security of the school site.
- Health and Safety:Enforce health and safety regulations, conducting regular checks and inspections to maintain compliance.
- Teamwork:Collaborate effectively with school staff and external contractors, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
Requirements:
- Essential Experience:Previous experience in a similar role within a school environment is essential.
- DBS Check:A valid DBS on the update service is required for this role.
- Availability:Immediate availability to start work and commit to the assignment until March 2024.
