Since transforming to an Academy in 2005 this former failing Hackney School is now one of the best state sector schools in the U.K. At a recent Ofsted inspection, it was noted the exceptional progress students make all areas. The school's excellent performance is due to a range of factors but none more so that the excellent teaching that takes place, every lesson or every day. Pupils enjoy lessons and understand the value of a good education. They are eager to achieve and have a thirst for knowledge. In science results have been strong at all key stages and the school currently offers all three subjects through to A-Level. Based on this success the school is keen to take on another Chemistry Teacher from September on a permanent basis. This role is in addition to the excellent team they already have in place and are happy to see Chemistry Teachers at all stages of their careers.
