Attention all experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistants! An incredible opportunity has arisen to make a real difference to pupils at a Special Needs School in Scunthorpe. We are looking for Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to join this fantastic school and support pupils throughout their lessons. The role provides an ideal chance for you to use your skills and knowledge to support a young learner's development. The pay for this role will be from £76 - £86 per day.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant in this role, you will be working as a general teaching assistant with the pupils, providing them with the one-to-one support they need to succeed in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include helping the pupil access the curriculum, promoting their independence, and building their confidence. You will also work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the pupil is given every opportunity to reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate for the Complex Needs Teaching Assistant role will have:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, specifically those with complex needs
  • A background within the care sector
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to making a positive difference in the life of the pupil
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A strong understanding of current SEND legislation and best practices
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
