This larger than average school is looking to appoint a Computer Science teacher to join its growing ICT department. This hugely successful school took on Academy status in 2005 replacing one of the boroughs most notoriously difficult schools in the process. Over the past 12 years it has been developed into an institution of educational excellence with GCSE results consistently topping the borough. Most students at this school come from challenging backgrounds. Many families in the local area are from the lowest 10% of incomes in the country and frequently many are new arrivals to the U.K. This means that when students join the school they are often below national average levels of expected ability.
