COVID-19 notice: We're continuing to recruit education staff throughout these unprecedented times, as we can still get you registered and cleared ready for when schools re-open. Instead of face-to-face meetings, all interviews will be via phone and we can guide you through submitting your documents online.

The role is to start in September 2020 on a fixed term contract for the full academic year offering permanent employment from the school for August 2021. Teaching Computer Science across key stages 3 and 4 the successful teacher will join a department that's popular with students and works hard to engage all pupils both in the classroom and with a range of extra-curricular clubs, activities and school trips.
The school offers two fully equipped ICT suites that are well kept and respected. Key stage 3 equips students here to utilise links with maths, science design and technology providing insights into various ICT focussed systems. Key Stage 4 follows the OCR syllabus and offers students an in-depth and real life understanding of the role of technology in today's society and its endless possibilities for the future.

Rated "Good" in their last Ofsted inspection (2016) this is a community sized school of 600 pupils from the local area. A brand new, multi-million-pound building is in the pipeline as part of the Governments School Building Programme. Results at KS4 are good and in line with the countries average and a key focus for the school moving forward to an "Outstanding".
"…Pupils meet the high expectations of set by the school and move around the school sensibly and considerately"

All staff here are well respected and feedback from local teachers working here on a cover basis or longer term is consistently positive.

Essential requirements:
