Are you a resourceful and dedicated Cover Supervisor, looking for a new opportunity in a Pupil Referral Unit in Accrington.

Tradewind Preston is currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Cover Supervisor with strong behaviour management skills, to join a Pupil Referral Unit in Accrington, to start September 2020 possible on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a full time 5 days a week, long term role.

The role itself will involve the cover of absent staff across the school. You will need to be adaptable and confident across the subject areas. You will be expected to ensure students are on task always and so behaviour management is key to this role. Work will be set, and you will be required to explain these and make sure that students are learning. You will need to liaise with the teaching staff to feedback and keep them informed of student progress from lessons that you have covered.

We are recruiting on behalf of a large trust, which caters for students from 6- 16 years old. The school is part of a wider trust, working with four secondary schools in the local area. They pride themselves on an induction programme leading to excellent professional development opportunities and are fully committed to the progress of their staff, as well as their students.

The trust is looking for a Cover Supervisor that can deliver lessons across all Key Stages and has excellent behaviour management skills, as well as a great personality for building rapport with staff and students alike. You must be a committed practitioner, a confident behaviour manager and have the highest expectations of all young people. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead the students through all subject areas of the lessons you are covering.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed team, who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations. Plus, the successful Cover Supervisor will be provided with a comprehensive induction package and a wide range of CPD opportunities for all staff.

The school is based in Accrington and has excellent public transport links. The school also has onsite staff parking and close links to the M65.
