Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a dedicated Sports Specialist Teaching Assistant/ Cover Supervisor to join an Ofsted rated 'Good' Secondary SEMH School within Blackburn, starting in September 2019 until December 2020 with the potential of going permanent. The school are looking to recruit a Sports Specialist Teaching Assistant/ Cover Supervisor to work on a full-time, long term basis. You will be providing general support from KS3 - KS4 classes with additionally leading the class, work will be set by the class teacher for you to deliver. The role is to start September 2019, full-time on a long term temporary contract, working 5 days per week to continue for the remainder of the academic year and through January with the potential to go permanent.

They are looking for a Sports Specialist Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor ideally Team Teach Trained but not essential. Your job will be supporting and delivering sports mainly but additionally all other subjects across KS3 and KS4 with pupils who have SEMH and Behavioural difficulties. You will be working with pupils on a group basis with maximum 8 in a group enhance their learning and academic development.

Your role will involve supporting and teaching pupils within this 'Good' SEMH Secondary School experience is essential and a patient and determined character is needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience both within delivering and supporting within PE ideally qualified to Level 3 Teaching Assistant. As per Department for Education (DfE) guidelines you will need to be able to provide full identification copies and reference details from the relevant experience you have previously gained in this or a similar setting.

The Secondary School is based in Blackburn close links to the motorway and is easily accessible via public transport.

Essential requirements:
*This OFSTED 'Good' SEMH School looking for an experienced Teaching Assistants/ Cover Supervisor.
*Team Teach Trained
*Have excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
*Be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour
*Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Degree Qualified
*Excellent interpersonal skills based on effective communication
*Passion to ensure every pupil succeeds and reaches their full potential
*Experience with working on a group basis
*An awareness of their own strengths and areas for development and a willingness to listen to, reflect constructively and ac upon, as appropriate, feedback from others
*Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently
