Are you highly motivated and a driven Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor with a passion for sport?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a dedicated Sports Specialist Teaching Assistant/ Cover Supervisor to join an Alternative Provision within Blackburn, starting after February half term 24th February 2020, this is a full time Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3:30pm this is a long-term role with the potential to go permanent.

As a Cover supervisor you will be required to deliver all subjects to small classes of maximum 8 pupils. There permanent teachers will have set the work with all resources available. In the afternoon you will be required to support and deliver sport across KS1 to KS4 by working with small groups of pupils to enhance their learning and academic development.

This position will also give you the opportunity to experience different subjects and classrooms as you may be required to work as a Cover Supervisor or a Teaching Assistant.

Your role will involve supporting and teaching pupils within this Alternative Provision experience is essential and a patient and determined character is needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience both within delivering and supporting within all subjects including PE. Ideally you will be Degree or Level 3 qualified. As per Department for Education (DfE) guidelines you will need to be able to provide full identification copies and reference details from the relevant experience you have previously gained in this or a similar setting.

We are looking for:
*Excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
*Teaching Assistant Level 3 or Degree Qualified
*Confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour
*Experience with supporting SEMH
*Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently

This Alternative Provision is located in Blackburn close to the M65 with a large free staff car park. If you are travelling by public transport, there is a bus stop just outside the school.
