Tradewind are currently working with a good school in Hull, who are looking to recruit a cover supervisor at the start of the academic year, to aid with the transition caused by the long absence that will have occurred. This cover supervisor will be a flexible worker, working full time across a multitude of subjects, and acting to cover classes for teachers who are absent for a number of reasons. These reasons may be because: teacher are ill, teachers are on courses, teachers are on school trips. All planning will be provided by the class teachers, and your job will be to deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure that students are on-track with their learning. Before undertaking this post, you will be given a full induction, which will include being given a SIMS log on, and given a full introduction and training course into the school's behaviour management and safeguarding policies. A detailed list of cover supervisor duties can be found below. You will report to the cover manager at the beginning of the day, who will give you a timetable for the day and instruct you which classes you will be taking. This is a job that really varies from day to day, and you will get to meet a variety of students, and cover a wide range of lessons. In the first instance, the school is looking for someone to support until October half term, and they will then assess whether or not they will be a need for this booking to be extended.

In terms of payment, we offer £70.00 per day for this position, and for other cover supervisor bookings. Your school working hours will be 8:45AM to 3:00PM on your traditional working day. The role :
* Undertaking whole class supervision in the absence of the class teacher, setting work previously prepared by the teacher
* Developing curricular knowledge as required by the school
* Marking elements of class work and homework under the guidance of the class teacher
* Undertaking observations of the pupils and contribute to pupil records
* Administering class tests
* Supervising the work of the Teaching Assistant
* Abiding by and work towards all the policies within the school e.g. behaviour management, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities
* Carrying out the above duties in accordance with the Children's Services Department's Equal Opportunities Policy.
