Tradewind are currently recruiting for an excellent Cover Supervisor to work in one of our partnership schools in Hull!

We are currently recruiting for an excellent cover supervisor, who can work in a full time, long term position from January 2021. Initially, this will be to cover until February half term, but this may be subject to extension in the future. You will be paid between £65.00 and £75.00 per day for this booking, depending on experience and qualifications. Your typical working hours will be between 8:30AM and 3:00PM.

You will be working across the school, providing pre-planned cover for students in a range of different classes, across a range of different subjects. For this reason, a particular 'subject specialism' is not needed (although it is welcomed), but the successful candidate will need to be versatile, and able to adapt to different situations based on the needs of the class and the subject in hand. This is a school who pride themselves in their outstanding teaching and learning, and the cover lessons provided are always to a high standard. Behaviour in the school is good, however a confident practitioner with strong behaviour management is needed for this role, due to the nature of the role. The school also has a number of teaching assistants who are absent/due to be absent, so the successful candidate may find themselves helping in a teaching assistant capacity alongside their cover supervisor role.

The school itself caters for students aged 11-16, and is one of the best schools in Hull and the East Riding! The school has excellent student behaviour, and fantastic systems and behaviour management policies in place to ensure that staff members can focus on getting the best out of students. There is a large onsite car park that is free for all staff members to use, and it is easily accessible via public transport from most areas of Hull and the East Riding.

*Covering pre-prepared lessons across a variety of different subjects
*Administering class tests
*Working across the school to ensure quality cover is provided
*Assisting the class teacher in a teaching assistant capacity

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is looking for experience in a school, before potentially completing teacher training. This is also an excellent opportunity for newly qualified graduates, who are looking for a long term school placement, before getting their first permanent job. Experienced teaching assistants looking to make a step up would also be excellent for this position.

Essential requirements:
Experience working in a secondary school
All work with Tradewind requires a DBS on the update service, and collection of at least two verified references.
