Cover Supervisor

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a school in Lewisham on a permanent basis. Duties will include the supervision of whole classes during teaching staff absence and supervising the work of students in small groups. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and time management skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with young people. Previous experience of working in a school setting (especially previous Cover Supervisor experience) would be an advantage.
Cover supervision is a great way for aspiring teachers to begin their journey towards obtaining a PGCE or similar teaching qualifications. You will be placed in classes which suit your subject specialism. History graduates tend to work within the Humanities department for example, while sports coaches will naturally, take PE classes.
The students you will work with are articulate, hardworking, well-motivated and display the school's core values in the way that they treat each other. This school pride themselves on their positive staff/student relationships. You will join a strong team of staff who are caring, supportive and working with a 'determination to be exceptional in all that they do'.
To be successful in this role you will:
*Be enthusiastic about education and helping children to be the best they can be.
*Have some previous experience of working with children in some capacity - this does not have to be within a school setting
*Be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
*Have a CV that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
*Have the legal right to work in the UK.
